Great sushi. Comes with green tea, miso soup and salad. Excellent value. Loads of interesting options. Lunch menu is even better value.

Very Good Sushi. Best Sushi in the Downtown Core. Only do Takeout as there is usually a line on Friday or Saturday Nights when I want sushi. Phone order always Fast and Easy. Fresh and always Good! My Usual To Go Spot in the Downtown Area.

I ordered the vegetarian sushi combo on uber eats and I was pleasantly surprised! Everything tasted great and the presentation was very nice as well.

One of the best and most affordable sushis in town. We are frequent here, and have loved this place for years (even before the move). Spicy crunchy roll and their dynamite roll are fantastic. Humble and tasty. It does have a bit of line up during popular times.

Best sushi place in town! And just one block from bathurst station. Portions are great considering the price. It is all worth it. This place usually gets filled very easily so expect to line up especially during the rush hours on weekend. Their miso soup is the greatest and their bento boxes are worth every $$. There’s also FREE ICE CREAM after your meal. You can choose from mango or matcha flavour. Place is clean and staff are okay. I definitely recommend this place.

A no nonsense, rapid fire sushi restaurant. Atmosphere is open and appointed with modern furniture. Lots of hard surfaces so it can get a bit loud, though not so much as to make conversation difficult. Food quality was good with portions that are filling. Service is brisk and quick. A good experience and a great value.

We had ordered the sushi platter. It tasted awful. Every had too much rice in them and very little fish. Do not recommend if you are looking for quality sushi.

Place is clean, quick service and cheap. However the rolls aren't up to par (even if cheap). Ingredients were all soggy and even the "crunchy" rolls were a disappointment. The seaweed was way too chewy felt like I was chewing for an hour. I guess you get what you pay for but I expected better.

I was in town for work and staying a near by hotel, quick google search lead me here. Placed a phone order for pick up. Order was ready early which was a bonus for me. Place was PACKED when I went in. Super friendly and fast service for pick up of my order. Order was a party platter for 5 - sushi was amazing. 5star all the way. Great portions and very fresh fish. Coming from an East Coaster it's easy to tell good vs bad fish and this was quality. 100% would order again.Thank you!

Great prices, hefty portions, vegan options - this is the trifecta for me and SOB has it all. A long time favourite of mine. One of the few places where the tempura is vegan (or so I've been told). Even their side salad is very tasty!

I love this place! Sushi is excellent and the price is incomparable really. Have gone here for 20 years now and it never disappoints me. The lunch specials are worth getting! The staff were friendly and always around if you needed something extra or another glass of water. If you’re looking for great sushi for the family and in downtown Toronto, look no further! Enjoy!!

Made a huge order using the online menu. The bill was so high, we challenged it. Turns out they still have their menu from 10 years ago online. They also have their new one online, too. BOTH were on their website. Owner was rude and told us if we didn't want it we could cancel it (after we had paid for it.) One star for rudeness and stupidity!

Def will come back here. You really get value for money here. It’s not the best sushi in town but the fish is fresh and the rice is pretty well season. The service is average. The set below costs $12 i think. It comes with salad, soup, and even ice cream!! Highly recommended. Good for those who wants sushi on budget.

All the food was old. Nothing was fresh. The Gyoza was rubbery and the hand roll was soggy. The calamari was two different kinds of burnt and the tempura batter was chewy. You'd be better off going to any other sushi place if my experience was any indication of their quality

Good prices for what you're getting. However, I'm not a sushi guy, so I didn't really have a great time. This is mostly a quantity over quality standard one has for sushi in this part of Bloor; there's at least 6 places if not more within a stones throw. Huge wait times standing either at the doorway or outside. Had a deluxe bento. Rice is rice. Boiled vegetables are watery. The mango ice cream afterward was nice. Everything else was flavorless, too plain, or nasal passages on fire (horseradish and slices of ginger) for my tastes.

if you were to go back 5 years ago or even 2 i would say its a 6 out of 5 they had great staff the food was great for the price and just great in general. now the quality isn't as good and they raised the price, they have also gotten a lot of new staff. overall its an ok place to eat sushi

Looking for a quick sushi bite amongst all the sushi places in the area this is it. The grilled squid (ikayaki) is grilled to perfection and is left tender. We had the salmon Dragon roll and the black Dragon roll which were packed with flavour. Can't go wrong with cheap and quick food.

Good deal for who wants inexpensive price. The sushi is pretty tasty, staff are quick and friendly. However the space is not so fancy, it's narrowed and crowded. They also offer a special lunch menu for 1 portion at $9.25. My photos are special lunch though

I have been coming to this restaurant for the past 16 years, both in the old establishment and in the new one as well. Although they have changed locations, their food has remained the same if not has improved greatly. Everything they have here is very cheap and extremely high quality with great taste. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy the greatest tasting sushi that toronto has to offer.

The combos are filling with good value if you get the lunch special. The taste is alright for the price you pay. However, I would not recommend the hand rolls here.

Sushi on Bloor is a Toronto tradition. The linch special is great and plentiful. Portions are large and it's always super fresh. Get ready roe a it of a line up, part of the experience.

I've been going here at least once a week for 10 years now ...I like it... fast, fresh and taste good... as for tempura you gotta be on your lucky day it can be a hit or miss with its oiliness level...Salmon bento box is my favorite and you can upgrade your maki to a sushi you prefer for $2 extra and comes with soup&salad... be prepared for waiting for a table to seat it's usually busy during pick hours of lunch&dinner

Best sushi I ve ever eat in Toronto. Fresh and delicious. Salmon Lover sushi set and Philadelphia roll are my favourite choice. Oh, and green tea ice-cream dessert is unbelievable!!!

Very nice looking sushi place with great prices. You can get a very nice lunch menu of 14 sushi pieces, miso soup, salad and tea for less than 10 CAD! Fish is fresh and tastes good, not great. Service is just okay and not very friendly.

Went there with my friends, the place seems very busy . The sashimi we ordered are fresh, roll and sushi are good and filling, It's a great value for the price. I like that they offer lunch special for all 7days just about 10cad, you can pick from two options of different rolls and comes with soup and salad. A pleasant experience.

The sushi was big and filling. The flavor was a little anemic, perhaps because the amount of rice in each piece of sushi was too much. The price was great; if you are looking for a decent discount sushi restaurant close to the downtown core come here. If you are looking for gourmet sushi go somewhere else.

One of my go to value for money sushi places. Get a free miso soup which I really like. The quality of the sushi is average but would expect that for the price. The crispy rolls are my favorite. Got an order of the fried chicken too that was decent as well.Do yourself a favor and get the mango ice cream for desert, it is amazing!

One of the best sushi place in Toronto. Their lunch specials last till 5:00 pm on weekdays. My recommendations: Deep fried calamari, mixed mushroom, edamame, vegetable tempura, shrimp tempura, dynamite roll, red dragon roll, green dragon roll, spicy salmon roll, rainbow roll, sushi pizza. Their sashimi s are pretty good too.

It was my first authentic Sushi experience and I loved it. It's not expensive but tastes really good. Better to check the wait time on weekends.

Good sushi, very fresh. A bit higher price than comparable sushi places but their longevity and always being busy could be a good sign of their consistency. I'm biased since this is a place I used to go frequently with my friends and have good vibes there

This is ALWAYS my go to sushi place and even with so many competitors in the neighbourhood, Sushi on Bloor is simply a cut above. The quality of the fish you get for the price you pay is unbeatable to anywhere else I've gone. You may have to wait to be seated, but it's always worth it. My favourite is the Spicy Tuna Crunchy roll - there's nothing better!
